This report provides an overview of the needs of children and young people in Surrey. It draws on existing research predominantly in the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) to build a rounded picture of the overall health and wellbeing needs of the child population. The JSNA is an ongoing process with research on a variety of topics being continually undertaken. In particular the chapters for education, when published, will provide more contextualised information about the issues in Surrey. Amendment: The number of children and young people with a statement of special educational needs was added to this document 01/05/2015. Amendment: 06/07/2015 a correction was made to the number of children and young people with a statement of special educational needs.
