DatasetSurrey Residents' Survey (Quarterly data): Local issues and anti social behaviour
Dataset DescriptionThe Surrey Residents' Survey is a telephone interview survey conducted throughout the year with randomly selected Surrey residents. It began in April 2008.

In each 3 month period, 1,650 people are interviewed for the survey, 150 from each of the Surrey districts and boroughs. This means that each year, 6,600 people are interviewed across the whole county, 600 from each district and borough.

Aggregated data is published for the whole of Surrey each quarter (April-June, July-September, October-December and January-March). For each district and borough, aggregated data is published annually.

In many cases, the survey sample size is large enough to make valid comparisons between different time periods and different geographical areas. However, please bear in mind that any recorded difference may be a consequence of interviewing a sample of residents rather than the entire population, which is the only means to ensure complete accuracy. For a difference between two results to be considered statistically significant, it needs to be of a minimum size. This minimum size varies according to the size of the sample and the size of the percentage results. Please exercise caution when intepreting differences in results and contact the Surrey-i Helpdesk if in doubt.
