Home applicants are children living in the area of the local authority.

Some percentages have been shown as a minimal level to prevent disclosure of a connected figure.

Some LAs provide unsuccessful parents with a list of schools with availability to choose from rather than directly allocating a place at a non-preferred school.

Percentages of all offers are calculated as a proportion of the total number of offers made, both to applicants and to non-applicants who the LA were aware required a place.

Offers made to non-applicants are offers made to children who the LA were aware required a place in primary school ( e.g. because they were in a nursery class of a primary school), but for whom an application was not made. Not included in the total number of applications received or the calculations of preference rates.

Regional figures rounded to nearest 10 to prevent disclosure. England figures also rounded if required.

x - percentage based on a value of 1 or 2 removed to prevent disclosure of small numbers.
