This HMP High Down Health Needs Assessment (HNA) forms part of a rolling programme of health needs assessments that are taking place across all Surrey prisons to inform the commissioning process during 2009/2010. A HNA is a systematic method for reviewing the health issues facing a population, leading to agreed priorities and resource allocation that will improve health and reduce inequalities. It is recommended that health needs assessments are refreshed annually. The 2012 refresh is available on Surrey-i and should be read in conjunction with this.
