Incident Summary Report (2020–2025)

Purpose

This report summarises incident activity attended by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) between January 2020 and December 2025. It highlights overall trends, incident types, property categories, and district‑level variation, supported by detailed tables.

1. Overall Incident Trends (2020–2025)

Across the six‑year period, SFRS attended 61,328 incidents in total.

Demand on SFRS remains high but stable post‑2022. Annual incidents peaked in 2022 (11,382), before declining gradually in 2023–2025.

Fire incidents remained comparatively stable year‑to‑year, with seasonal spikes during summer months. False alarms and special service incidents consistently made up the majority of incidents. Dwelling‑related incidents are the dominant risk area county‑wide.

Persistent district‑level variation supports continued place‑based prevention and response planning

2. Incidents by Category (Monthly, 2020–2025)
